Go Snowshoeing

Snowshoe hiking is great exercise but should be practiced with light to moderate effort. Most people underestimate the amount of heat they think they will generate while snowshoeing, when in reality moderate winter temperatures (anything upwards of 35 degrees) may require you to remove layers to keep from overheating, so dress appropriately. Snowshoes may be rented from SKAT. No special footwear or equipment required, just strap them on and go.

Rates & Tours

• Snowshoe rental is $15 per 4 hours, or $25 for 24 hours.
• If you have 4 or more people in your tour, you can request that a guide take you up Storm King Mountain or through Black Rock Forest.
• Guided tours cost $25 + rental.
