About Us

Owner Kris Seiz has a background in Marine Biology and a lifelong interest in the Great Outdoors. She is a Member of the Explorers Club, and was an Orthopedic Research Scientist at Helen Hayes Hospital for many years. She was also an Executive Board Member of the Hudson Highlands Nature Museum and a Foundation Board Member of St. Luke's Cornwall Hospital. Her love of the Hudson River Valley inspired her to create Storm King Adventure Tours in 2007.

SKAT won the Orange County Chamber of Commerce's competition for Business Idol of the Year! WOW! We are very excited!

Storm King Adventure Tours are now official Sponsors of the 1st Annual Orange County Triathalon! The date is August 21, 2011, and we will be needing 34 volunteers to form a kayak chain for 800-1000 swimmers along the Newburgh Waterfront! Check out OrangeCountyTri.com.

Guides

All of our kayaking guides are certified in First Aid and CPR, and have been trained by professionals.
